Acceptable identification includes any ID issued by the United States, the State of Oklahoma or a federally recognized tribal government. The ID must include a name, a photograph and an expiration date later than the election. The free Voter Identification Card is also acceptable.
Completed absentee ballots need different handling. Non-Election Board sites will not accept already completed absentee ballots. Completed ballots must go to the County Election Board during business hours.
Hand-delivered absentee ballots must arrive by 5 p.m. on the day before the election. Voters can only hand deliver their own ballot and must show identification when delivering it. Mailed absentee ballots must reach the Election Board by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
“With these additional sites we are making available early voting sites in the north, south, east and west quadrants of Tulsa County to better serve our voters,” Gwen Freeman, secretary of the election board, said. The county expanded from two early voting sites in past elections to four sites for this election.
Early voting is in-person absentee voting. Voters complete an application on site before casting a ballot. A voter who has already returned an absentee ballot cannot vote early.
Tulsa County voters with questions can call the Election Board at 918-596-5780. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
