Tulsa Zoo to host Halloween after-hours event for adults

The Tulsa Zoo will host Zoo Nights: On the Rocks on Oct. 17, an after-hours Halloween event for adults 21 and older with live music and drinks.

The Tulsa Zoo will welcome adult visitors for a late evening gathering on Oct. 17. Attendees can explore the grounds in costume and enjoy special evening entertainment.

The program is called Zoo Nights: On the Rocks. Guests must be 21 years or older to attend.

Visitors can explore the zoo grounds in their costumes after the sun sets. The gathering starts at 5:30 p.m. in Tulsa.

Planned activities include live music, yard games, and a costume contest. Guests can also feed a giraffe. Bars will sell both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

The zoo announced that animal buildings will close at 7:15 p.m. This schedule lets animals keep their regular sleep routines.

The zoo operates as a public park with animal habitats. Facilities often adjust building hours to protect sleeping resident wildlife.

People can buy tickets online. The gates open on Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Tulsa facility.
