Tulsa Women’s Commission hosts donation drive for Case Family Safety Center

The Tulsa Women's Commission is hosting a donate and dash drive Saturday at the Case Family Safety Center to collect supplies for abuse survivors.

The Tulsa Women’s Commission is holding a collection event in Tulsa on Saturday. The effort provides supplies to survivors of abuse, assault, stalking and trafficking.

Organizers will accept items at the Case Family Safety Center, located at 2829 South Sheridan Road. The drop-off window runs Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The commission asks the public for household, personal care and emergency assistance items. The Health & Emotional Safety Committee specifically organized the drive.

Suzann Stewart, the CEO of Case Family Safety Center, explained the effect of the supplies.

“When someone walks through our doors, they are often facing one of the most difficult moments of their lives. The donations collected through this event will help us meet immediate needs while reminding survivors that their community cares.”

The organizing committee uses local engagement to support the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of women. The Tulsa center serves people overcoming domestic violence and elder abuse.

Commission member Maria Carlota Palacios said the group welcomes the joint effort in Tulsa.

“The Tulsa Women’s Commission is excited to partner with an organization that promotes and protects the safety and wellbeing of women and families throughout our community,” Palacios said. “This event is a meaningful way for Tulsans to make a direct impact in the lives of survivors while learning more about the resources available in our community.”

The facility provides resources and support services for survivors in crisis. The public can view the wish list of requested goods on the center website or on its Amazon Wish List.
