Two men shot after parking lot fight in downtown Tulsa
Police are investigating a shooting in downtown Tulsa after two men were wounded during an early morning fight in a parking lot on North Greenwood Avenue.
Tulsa police are investigating an early morning gunfire incident near downtown Tulsa. Two wounded men later arrived at separate medical facilities for urgent treatment. The gunfire happened around 12:54 a.m. on Sunday.
Officers responded to a shots-fired call at a parking lot near 10 North Greenwood Avenue. Witnesses told officers a fight broke out on the property. People heard someone yell “gun” before multiple rounds were fired.
The crowd quickly fled the scene. No victims remained when officers arrived.
About one hour later, two men arrived at different local hospitals. The men, ages 34 and 22, suffered gunshot wounds to their legs and lower body. Both victims told police they were wounded during the altercation in the Greenwood area lot.
Police said the wounded men could not provide information to identify the shooter. Investigators recovered .40 caliber shell casings and clothing from the scene.
Detectives are reviewing security camera footage from nearby downtown Tulsa properties. Police agencies routinely collect surveillance video to trace suspects and identify witnesses after public violence.
