Owasso Municipal Court offers clearance period for outstanding warrants
Owasso Municipal Court is offering a warrant clearance program from Oct. 26 to Oct. 29, allowing people to resolve cases and waive half their balance.
People with pending municipal cases in Owasso can clear their active warrants starting Oct. 26. The limited program allows participants to resolve legal obligations and avoid further enforcement actions. The initiative runs through Oct. 29.
Defendants have two choices to clear their cases. Under the first option, they pay 50 percent of their balance. The court then waives the remaining amount.
Alternatively, people can contact or visit the Owasso Municipal Court Clerk’s Office. Staff will lift the warrant. They will place the individual on a future docket to arrange payments.
City officials said the program helps people resolve court-related obligations. It prevents complications from unresolved cases.
“Our goal is to help members of our community overcome financial barriers, regain good standing and move forward with a fresh start,” Owasso Court Clerk Marinelle McAlister said. “We believe that helping people get back on track benefits not only the individual but the overall well-being of our community.”
Municipal courts typically handle local ordinance violations, traffic citations, and code enforcement matters within city limits. Resolving outstanding warrants prevents arrests during routine police interactions.
Residents can call the Owasso Municipal Court Clerk’s Office at 918-376-1550 during the designated period.
