Stockton police have made a homicide arrest after a 74-year-old man reported missing in August was found dead in San Joaquin County.

The man was last seen on August 24. Police located his car near the 1500 block of S. San Joaquin Street, and on Friday detectives served a search warrant at a nearby home. The body was found in an unincorporated area of the county through additional investigative efforts, the department said.

Luis Moran, 28, was arrested on suspicion of homicide. Francisco Renteria-Sanchez, 28, was also arrested, charged as an accessory — an offense that involves helping a suspect in a criminal case.

Investigators follow standard procedures during death investigations, and the Stockton police investigation remains ongoing.
