North Tulsa families celebrate fall at free pumpkin patch event

Northside Neighbors hosted a free pumpkin patch at Hawthorne Park in North Tulsa, offering tractor rides and pumpkin painting to local families.

Northside Neighbors hosted a free pumpkin patch gathering at Hawthorne Park in North Tulsa over the weekend. The community event welcomed local residents to usher in the fall season together. The gathering ran across Friday and Saturday.

Families enjoyed several seasonal activities together at the park. Organizers provided pumpkin painting and tractor rides. Admission cost nothing.

An organizer explained the reason behind creating the local event.

“Historically, North Tulsa families have had to travel to other parts of the city to experience a pumpkin farm with their kids,” said an organizer. “This event ensures residents do not have to leave their neighborhoods to give their family that fall memory.”

Guests took family portraits during the festival. Organizers also served free food throughout the weekend. Guests played free games.

Hawthorne Park serves as a public outdoor recreation space for Tulsa residents. Local community groups often use city park grounds to host neighborhood gatherings.

The weekend event also featured other family-friendly fall activities for area children.
