A stolen-truck investigation in Stockton ended in one of the larger seizures San Joaquin County has announced this year: deputies searching a home in the Weston Ranch neighborhood reported finding the stolen Ford F-350, 16,000 fentanyl pills and other illegal drugs, $288,142 in cash, 14 firearms and roughly 100 pounds of fireworks.
Peter Zile, 60, and Lisa Hall, 47, were arrested on Thursday and face multiple felony charges, officials said — vehicle theft, possession of controlled substances to sell, and weapons charges including possession or transportation of a machine gun. Combined bail: $1.25 million.
District Attorney Ron Freitas said the haul “highlights the serious threat these illegal activities pose to our community.” The two appeared in court in Stockton on Monday and were due back Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. for the next stage of the case.
Tulsa County deputies run the same playbook — follow the stolen vehicle, serve the warrant, catalogue what is inside — and public safety officials say the fentanyl pill count is the number that matters most, because it measures supply, not just possession.
