Hazami Barmada brings Freedom Convoy to Tulsa over Israel aid

Hazami Barmada brought the Freedom Convoy to Tulsa on Wednesday, protesting overseas federal funding during a stop in the city's Greenwood District.

Hazami Barmada led a demonstration in the Greenwood District of Tulsa on Wednesday. The group challenged federal funding sent overseas instead of addressing local community needs.

Barmada serves as the co-organizer of the 2026 tour. The participants are on a 10 day journey across the country.

The cross-country route started in California. It ends in Washington D.C.

Members said they believe the federal government puts foreign aid above American citizens. Barmada outlined those domestic concerns during the stop.

“This is not a foreign agenda,” Barmada stated. “This is domestic agenda.”

Barmada said everyday Americans struggle to afford healthcare, fuel and food. She argued that tax money goes to other nations instead of fixing domestic roads.

Demonstrators plan to travel next to Missouri on Thursday. They will host another community event there.

The Greenwood District is a historic neighborhood in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Visiting activist groups often hold public forums in such cultural hubs to address local residents.

The traveling group plans to reach Washington D.C. on Monday.
