Two Tulsa properties added to National Register of Historic Places

Tulsa sites Hawk Dairies and First Christian Church were added to the National Register of Historic Places, qualifying them for preservation tax incentives.

Two Tulsa sites have officially joined the federal list of recognized historic locations. The federal designation brings tax incentives and formal protections to both locations.

Builders completed Hawk Dairies between 1947 and 1948. First Christian Church was established in 1918. Developers will turn the dairy site into apartments.

Workers will turn the church property into a mixed-use building. The site will house apartments, a music venue, and a restaurant. Both sites gain national recognition.

The Oklahoma State Historic Preservation Office and the National Park Service provide specialized tax incentives. The programs help owners preserve recognized structures. This process aids historic preservation efforts across Tulsa.
