Tulsa Police Department to hold meeting on license plate readers

The Tulsa Police Department scheduled an Oct. 19 public meeting to discuss automated license plate readers and answer questions from local residents.

The Tulsa Police Department scheduled an upcoming community transparency session about Automated License Plate Readers in Tulsa. The public gathering allows residents to examine the technology and discuss how it operates locally.

The session is set for Oct. 19 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. A location will be determined soon, according to the police department.

The department said the panel will address questions submitted prior to the event. This approach ensures the meeting remains efficient and respectful of everyone’s time, the agency stated. Panelists will compile the submissions and provide detailed answers.

The Tulsa Police Department regularly hosts public information forums. These sessions allow municipal agencies to explain standard operations directly to community members.

Residents can participate in the Tulsa event by submitting inquiries ahead of time.
